"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. I like this picture because it reminds me of how we need to walk by faith and not by sight. We all are walking down paths of the unknown. Trusting the Lord and not being anxious is a battle that I think many of us battle. You know trusting the Lord can be a minute by minute thing we must choose to do. The Lord doesn't want us to walk in anxiety, but by faith. I know that faith is what pleases Him and even though I want to trust Him, sometimes it is very hard. I've had some health issues going on the past few months. I've never been one to be sickly, so they caught me off guard. I've been learning how to trust that His plans are always good and the trials of life will teach me what He wants me to learn. Learning to trust in my Father's plan and knowing that everything that comes my way has passed through the Father's hand and been stamped with approval, helps me find comfort that He knows what is best for my life. After all, I'm His child and what Father doesn't want what's best for his child? May our thoughts be on Him as we go through the week.
